About

Samantha Booth is the Associate Director of Federal Relations at Rutgers University. Samantha joined the Washington, D.C. office in 2020 after completing a fellowship at a lobbying firm focused on health policy advocacy. At the Office of Federal Relations, Samantha helps represent the University on a wide variety of policy issues, particularly for student financial aid, veteran’s education, tax issues, and the humanities.

Previously, Samantha worked on several political campaigns in New Jersey and interned at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in their Office of Government and Community Relations.

Samantha received her bachelor’s in political science from Rutgers-New Brunswick and a Master of Public Administration at the School of Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers-Newark.

She currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Science Coalition and as co-chair of the AAU Humanities Task Force.
